WASHINGTON NUKE SUMMIT

President Obama schedules the opening of his Nuclear Security Summit in Washington for April 12 - coinciding with this year’s Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem – so much for alleged ‘Israel Lobby’ influence on matters of State!
Thereafter, charges are promoted against Prime Minister Netanyahu (for failing to join world leaders choosing instead to lead the Shoah Memorial events at Home) on the trumped up charge of wishing to avoid a further ‘unpleasant White House rendezvous’ or alternatively, to escape confrontation with Arab & Muslim participants’s “ plans to make Israel (the) focus of nuke summit” (www.jpost April 13): Whilst “denied by Arab officials”, nevertheless, Muslim Turkey’s, Recep Erdogan, volunteers ‘to bat for them’; stating on conference eve that he would “call for equal pressure on Israel or Iran”!
This brings us to the ‘Analysis’ headline Iran’s deadly mix of anti-Semitism and atomic weapons (www.jpost April 13) wherein your correspondent, Weinthal, writes: “both processes are proliferating at an astonishingly fast pace, and are not being faced by fierce resistance”.
This is confirmed, through conduct of an (imperative) analysis of President Medvedev’s interview on ABC’s Good Morning America: Sanctions on Iran “should not lead to humanitarian catastrophe, where the whole Iranian community would start to hate the 'whole' world”, adding, that there was no global consensus for sanctions on Iran’s petroleum industry” (a key Netanyahu stipulation) and that “an Israeli strike would be a global catastrophe”. Finally delivering assessment - not of Ahmadinejad’s nature - but rather of both Peres and Netanyahu: “I would say that on many questions they are very tough, defending stubborn positions including settlements. And the US has seen the proof of that lately”!
Not a word about the Katyn war crime or General Sikorski is asked or volunteered!
Suffice it to conclude with Alexander Zvielli’s, April 11, 1945 archival citation: “Despite their appeals, Jews were given no seats at the 1945 San Francisco Conference”!
