RAOUL WALLENBERG G-8 JACKSON -VANIK

In January 1993, the Swedish Foreign Minister, Margaretha af Uglass, revealed the existence of secret Kremlin Files on American citizen Raoul Wallenberg. Sweden’s just request for access to these files remains unanswered to this date.
Coincidentally, Sweden’s membership in the European Union was approved, thereby placing European and (by extension) G-7 economic power behind Sweden’s (and mankind’s) just demand to obtain The Wallenberg Brief - so far to no avail!
The International Remembrance Committee believes, that the July St. Petersburg assembly of G-7 (G-8 ?) representatives to be hosted by Vladimir Putin and his delegation, represents the ideal forum for airing unpleasant questions concerning The Murder of Raoul Wallenberg !
To exploit this godsend opportunity is the imperative: express your sixty-year pent up outrage to members of the Russian Duma and demand of them to exercise constitutional prerogatives –
to wrest the Wallenberg File from the clutches of its Kremlin Keeper.

In the meantime the United States must maintain in place the JacksonVanik amendment.

RUSSIA GERMANY IRAN G-8 & CHENEY

London correspondent George Conger (jpost 6 June) reports that “Russia has ruled out the use of force against Iran if Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s regime rejects proposals that it end its nuclear enrichment program”: corroborated by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov to both the Novosti News Agency and Moscow’s Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
This report reflects a London Times/AP Teheran report (May 29) citing Russia’s security council head, Igor Ivanov, who told Iranian television “that his country opposes any use of force against Iran over its controversial nuclear program”.
Russia’s unrelenting support for the Iranian Fascist dictatorship is reminiscent of the well documented support given by Stalin and Molotov to The Psychopathic God Adolf Hitler and his Nazi dictatorship, up to and beyond 22 June 1941!
During the nocturnal negotiations of the Nazi-Soviet Pact (23-24 August 1939) Stalin voiced the sentiment “that it was of considerable advantage to have a strong Germany as neighbor and in case of armed showdown with the bourgeois democracies the interests of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany would run parallel to each other and Russia would never stand for Hitler’s Germany getting into a difficult position”. The ceremony ended with Stalin’s personal toast “to the long life of the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler”!
In view of the World’s bitter experience with the performance of previous Russian diplomatic ‘expertise’; next month’s G- 8 summit (scheduled to convene in St. Petersburg under Russian auspices) would seem an ideal venue to demand a thorough vetting of Russian strategy towards the threat posed by Iran; because Russia’s current stance once again signals (as detected by Vice-President Cheney) a departure from its revolutionary doctrine of 'peace now'!
